VFX Integration: Vehicular Combustion for Music Video
Scene Reconstruction (fSpy): Performed camera calibration from a single static plate to extract accurate 3D coordinates, enabling proper object placement and perspective.
Physics-Based Simulation (Pyro): Developed a high-fidelity fire and smoke system in Houdini, focusing on realistic soot density and expansion driven by the van’s geometry.
Lighting & Lightwrap: Created custom light sources within the 3D scene that match the fire’s intensity, ensuring the CG flames illuminate the real-world ground and actors in the plate.
Compositing & Breakdown: Executed the final composite in After Effects, managing grain matching, motion blur, and black-level calibration for a seamless cinematic look.
Workflow: Completed as a commissioned VFX shot for a music video, showcasing the ability to deliver production-ready assets under specific art direction.
